TECHNICAL FEATURES
Cylinder
- Material: Aluminium alloy with high content of silicon, hardened and tempered, silicon carbide and galvanised nickel coated cylinder sleeves, diamond honed surface finished with a double criss-cross pattern while maintaining extremely tight tolerances.
- High precision numerical controlled machining.
- Cylinder-Piston matched sets within 0.05 mm.
- Heat exchange surfaces redesigned and increased.
Piston
- Ultra compact with 3 piston rings.
- Material: Special aluminium-silicon alloy with low thermal expansion and selective tin deposition onto piston skirt areas.
- High precision numerical controlled machining.
- Reinforced and lightened.
- Heat exchange surfaces increased.
Piston rings
- Special low friction with high mechanical strength.
- Top compression ring made of chrome plated nitrided steel.
- 2nd compression ring made of special cast iron.
- Three-piece oil control ring made of chrome plated special steel alloy.
NB: considering the difficulty in indentifying the engine manufacturer in certain vehicles, we suggest to carefully verify stroke, pin diameter and mounting stud pattern before purchasing Malossi products.
